Are Apple making so much money that they can now afford to disregard all of the evidence that has been set before them. I have a newish iPad and that to has a calendar that crashes in March 2013. I have tried all of the solutions offered, including a complete restore, but still no fix. Stop counting your money and fix the **** thing!!!

Just found out this bug today by browsing through my calendar. A friend's birthday at April 1st triggered the bug.

Sloppy that there's no fix after so many months.

Ah well, the closer we get to March, more will find out. Big question is: will they fix before March or wait to make the news and publicity?

Good point Zorro_SF on the Apple going for publicity. However I still suspect the date, April 1st = April Fools Day, Poisson d'Avril etc. Is it all an Apple joke? Ho Ho Ho Apple, joke over....now just fix it!

Has anyone seen a public acknowledgement by Apple anywhere of this bug with a workaround and a projected fix date?

I have the same bug as everyone else here on my iPad 3, and no, I don't want to remove my important events from my calendar as a workaround when in month view.

I bet if this bug hit the main news sites with the ensuing bad publicity, Apple would get this acknowledged and addressed.

I deleted any events for Apr 1st calendar now works in March but agree, not ideal.

Anybody finding iPad 2 frequently crashing since update?  Can't find any help on communities.  Am closing all Apps etc.

You don't need to remove any events, you just need to change any events on 1st April to be timed events (e.g. starting at 4 am) instead of being 'all day' events (I think that the problem is due to daylight saving on 31st March) - so if you sync them from somewhere then change them on that, if you don't sync then go into list view and change them

I have the same problem. I am taking March 2013 off as it clearly not going to happen!

Thought I'd add to the noise level. I have the same problem. Deleting all-day events April 1st doesn't do it for me. Hopefully Apple will fix the problem soon.

Dream on!! I'm not sure I get the 'April Fool' line?

  • oldmoondog1 Level 1 (0 points)

Hey guys - its been fixed - mine works fine now -   503 (1605.4).

  • SeanShevety Level 1 (0 points)

Mine still doesn't work. Are you certain yours has been fixed?

  • bmwcrash Level 1 (0 points)

I have a very straightforward question. Do Apple Software Engineers get to read, or reply to, these posts or are we just wasting our time?

  • oldmoondog1 Level 1 (0 points)

Well, I've just inputted an all day event on April 1st - saved it. Closed the app and reopened it and it works fine. No crashes when changing from March to April 2013. Version 503 (1605.4).

No sure about the engineers reading the discussions, but I would expect someone to do that.

Yes, it really has been fixed. So the issue was with Apple servers and not with the iOS. That being the case, one would have expected a fix much sooner.

Woah there!! I was checking it on my iMac NOT the iPad.  Problem still exists - sorry guys!  I have a call in with Apple techs today so will check it out with them.
