Will 1.25 GB ram upgrade improve leopard performance 1Ghz 12" PowerBook G4

I currently have 768mb 1ghz 12" PowerBook G4 running Leopard.

I have found performance to be sluggish and I am wondering whether an upgrade to 1.25gb would make a large difference to the performance.

Thanks
Peter

Bring up Activity Monitor, look at the system memory tab, and at page ins and page outs. If page outs is 10% to 15%, or more, of page ins, you can use more memory for what you run. A page out is where the system writes a block of memory to the hard drive to make room for something else. Too much of that can impact performance.
