What will happen to my day to day use of Safari if I disable Java?
Will disabling Java affect my use of Safari?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

It depends upon what kind of websites you visit. It is possible you will not notice any difference at all. In any case, it is harmless to give it a try.

I have had it turned off for a week and noticed no difference in the diverse range of sites I visit. No difference whatsoever.
Good Luck

If you run into a Web site that requires Java then it will give you a missing plugin indicator in some browsers (Firefox), or will give you no indication at all (Safari).
