4.0.3 bug?

I'm having this same problem Martin, really could use that quickcluster bouts now.

The update may break your Qmaster setup. It did mine and had to re-set. Now working.

The update appears to have broken my Quickcluster setup also. I recently got a hi-def TV and a new ATV3 so I was glad to see the new settings for the ATV, then disappointed when I discovered my cluster was broken. It starts working then fails, this has happened with a 3 minute video and also a 90 minute video.

Reinstalling, restarting, resetting etc hasn't worked yet. I'm still working on it. If anyone has any other suggestions on what to try I'm open to it.

I'm using my Mac Pro as it's own cluster, no other computer involved.

I'll be trying a couple other things tomorrow. My next thing will be to create another admin account and try it from the new account.

I'm also having Cluster issues after upgrading to FCP X 4.0.3.

After upgrading to the latest versions of FCP X, Compressor and Motion, submitting to a Cluster (e.g. from FCP X, or from Compressor via "This Computer Plus") is no longer available. Did something change with Clusters? Also, Share Monitor no longer shows my Cluster.

Looking for suggestions, ideas...

Open QMaster>Share This Computer and verify the settings in the Sharing pane are correct.

Thanks, Russ. Still no luck. I stopped and started Sharing, and verified the Share This Computer settings are the same as what I was using under FCP X 4.0.2. I no longer have an option of "This Computer Plus" in Compressor or in FCP X 4.0.3.

Any other suggestions?

Those are the settings I've been using to set up the Cluster, which worked well before I upgraded to these latest releases of FCP X and Compressor.

Did you give your version 4 Quick Cluster a different name than the QC in v3.5?

Yes, I tried that, too. No luck. I think I'm going to try deleting the Compressor app, and reinstalling...

Should I also delete/reinstall FCP X ?

If you're getting the same non-result with clusters by dragging a source file into Compressor, it's hard for me to see what the FCX connection might be…but who knows?

Give the reinstall a try with Compressor and let us know how it goes.

I fixed my problem by abandoning the whole quickCluster/thisComputerPlus thing (which never worked great for me anyway) and built my own cluster with Qadministrator using managed services for all my nodes. It works great now and wasn't hard at all.

No luck with the reinstall of Compressor. Still doesn't recognize QuickCluster ("this computer plus").

I'm going to try to set up a Managed Cluster, as Horsesbreed did.
