Can I have two yahoo mail accounts on my iPad but only have one account push and the other fetch or manuel?

I have two yahoo email accounts but I want my main one to push email and the other one to be manuel or even fetch, is this doable?

You don't know what push means.

Push means new messages received at the incoming mail server are pushed out by the incoming mail server without the email client being used to access the account having to check the account automatically or manually which is called fetch. An account can be checked automatically without having to open the Mail app which is not push.

Manual with the Mail app on an iOS device is not the same as manual with an email client on your computer.

If you launch the Mail app, all email accounts will be checked for new messages even when manual is selected for an account. If manual is selected for an account, it should not be checked for new messages until to launch the Mail app.

Ok I have one of my yahoo accounts on Manual ...

How would you possibly do that? All Yahoo mail accounts Push (although often poorly). To my knowledge, there is no way to set a Yahoo account to be manually fetched.

The Push setting is a global setting for all accounts that support Push, it is either ON or OFF. The Fetch setting is also global and is for accounts that don't support Push, or if you have Push turned OFF for all accounts.

Adding all the above, there is no way to have one Yahoo account Push and another Yahoo account Fetch, manually or on a timed schedule.

Ok thanks but how about I want my main email account to check and alert me of new mail without me having to launch the email app and the other to be on manual where I have to launch the app for it to check or whatever it's called? I want one account on manual and my main account to sound and all that without having to launch the app.

If they're both Yahoo accounts, you cannot achieve this. Both accounts will have new e-mail Pushed to your device (without you having to open the Mail app), unless you turn Push OFF, in which case none of your accounts will be Pushed.

If you want one account to be on a Fetch schedule, you'll have to use a different type of account (like GMail). That way, your Yahoo mail will indicate when you get new mail without you opening the app, but the GMail account will only indicate that you have new mail if you open the Mail app, or if you put it on a Fetch schedule that is not Manual. Note that GMail can support Push, but you have to set it up as an Exchange account.

To my knowledge, there is no way to set a Yahoo account to be manually fetched.

There is at Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Advanced.

Each email account accessed with the Mail app will be available. For an email account that supports push access, there are 3 options - Push, Fetch, Manual.

You can leave the global Push setting on which is for more than email accounts and turn Push access on or off for an email account that supports push. For an email account that does not support push, there are 2 options - Fetch and Manual.

If Manual is selected for one of the Yahoo accounts, email should not be pushed by the incoming mail server and the account should not be checked for new messages unless the Mail app is launched.
