Ok so I took back my first ipad 3 and got a new one that has the same problem. Here are some pictures of the screen. please tell me what you think.

Hard to tell by looking at the pictures, but I found this test in the Internet, try it and compare the results.

You're a hoot. You need someone else to tell you if your product is defective.
Your iPad is OK.
This looks fine to me. If 100% brightness you got a good one. Keep it.
