I installedlinux driver(Foomatic GDI), butunfortunatelythe workarounddoes not printwellA4 page,because itremoves partof theheadersheet.Can someonehelp me?MamaApple, give usa working drivermy printeris likenewnot want tochange it.I do not understandwhythe compatibilityisreducedby switching toa newOSlion.HELP ME!

Check that you have the page setup set to A4. Letter is shorter and if set as the default this could explain the loss of text on the document.


Also, it is up to Samsung to provide drivers for Lion - Apple does not make printer drivers. They simply provide a repository for common printers for helping users install a driver on Lion.

I think it'sabsurd thata company likeApplecuts evendriver compatibility.Inthe past there hasalways beensupercompatible.

I find itabsurd andalmost shocking,that to installa driver,you mustuse aworkaroundusinglinuxdrivers.I remain perplexed.......

I hadalready setthe pageA4in theprinter settings.

Apple don't write the drivers for printers, the manufacturer (Samsung in your case) does, complain to them.
