After I set up my new iMac and had everything running, my G4, G5 and MacBook all appeared in my server list.
This week, for some reason (I can't understand) they don't show.
I even went to Favourite (recent) listing and tried that way, but nothing connected.
The funny thing is I can see my iMac from my G5 and my MacBook, but the connection timesout.
Any answers?

Did you disable Documents Sharing?
I did nothing when it stopped working.
Document sharing does not appear in the Lion Sharing options, only File Sharing.
Well, that's File Sharing then. My system language is Italian.
They are switched on on both.
One thing I just noticed is that the Mac address on the G5 has changed to ... (5) instead of ...(4).
Seems like I had to type the afp number in by hand in the server connect to get it to work again.
Same with the screen sharing, although screen sharing does not appear as an option on the server list.
You mean Mac IP address?
It does not matter.
Try this from Finder
cmd+K
afp://G4name.local
or
afp://G4_IP_addr
where G4name is the name you gave to your G4, please append .local after that
G4_IP_addr is G4's IP (e.g. 192.168.1.5)
All I need to know is:
What needs to be sitched on or off on my settings on both G5(Leopard) and iMac(Lion) to get this to work as it did when I first set them up.
Also, is there something maybe in the modem settings that needs to be set.

Based on what you wrote a few posts back, you already have File Sharing enabled on both Macs and that will do the magic.
Also check if both G5 and iMac are on the same subnet.
Usually for home network 192.168.1.0/24 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0)
They are both on the same subnet.
Anything else?
BTW: Screen sharing doesn't work either.

The issue for some reason has resolved itself!!
I switched on this morning, and everything was OK.
Could screen share and connect.
Didn't do anything to solve this either :-)
