how do i add my watermark to aperture ?

You will not see the watermark on the image in Aperture - you add the watermark when you export the image to your disk or when you publish to a web gallery:

Do the following:

select images to export with watermark in the Browser
From the main menu select: File -> Export -Versions
In the export dialogue set the "Export Preset" selector to "Edit"
Select a suitable preset, e.g. JPEG original size
Then enable the "Show Watermark" button and press the "Choose Image" button, then select the image file with your Watermark image in the File chooser. Note: this file must be in a folder on your disk, not in Aperture.

After enabeling and setting the watermark, press OK, then press "Export Versions"
