Q: iTunes Store big issue

Hi ,

when i open Store in Videos (in iPhone4S) it says :"Cannot connect to iTunes Store".The same thing happens with Music Store.

Also in iTunes i have 4 buttons only(Podcasts,iTunes U,Search,Downloads) instead of the 5 normal button(Music,Videos, search,Purchased,More).

i dont see Ping when i open itunes on PC although it checked in Preferences!

i reset 'Location Warnings'.

am in kuwait,so using kuwaiti itunes store, & i have everything updated but my PC is Windows XP Service Pack 3 so i downloaded the fixIt from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034..

what else can i do ? plz  H E L P

    Tech Diana,

The Kuwait store does not sell music or videos.

For a list of what is available see iTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?

    Thank you so much ed2345,

I checked that list earlier but I was wishing for a way to override being unable to buy from iTunes videos/music .

Do u think there's anyway to use Ping in Kuwait ?does iTunes Match work here?

    Thank you

    Tech Diana,

Disappointing I know, but that is the current state of what's available.

iTunes Match depends on using Store copies of song files, so (although I am not certain) I doubt it is usable in Kuwait.

Regarding Ping:  I have not used it, and I assume you are aware that it has not garnered much of a following, but you can certainly give it a try and see if it is available there.

    Thank you Ed,

I was thinking of changing the country of my Apple ID(so it will become USA for example)!but I don't know what is stopping me from doing it!

    Diana,

Here is the official word from the Terms and Conditions of the iTunes USA Store:

"The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance."

From what I've seen on this Forum, that compliance checking is conducted on a spot-check basis.  If they see the account is being used from outside the USA, they close the account, with no recourse.
