Imported CD not showing up in iTunes

I have tried importing this CD as Apple Lossless, .mp3, etc and it doesn't ever show up in iTunes. I found the music with the finder but when I drag it to iTunes, no go. I right click and say open with iTunes, nope. I go through iTunes and use Add to Library, it still isn't showing up. No error message is displayed, it just simply doesn't add it to the library.

The exact same thing is happening to me. I import CDs and they are not listed. They show up in the recently added playlist, and all of the info is correct, but when i searh for them in iTunes cannot find them. I tried editing info to see if it would jolt iTunes into finding them, but no joy.

Any help would be hugely appreciated - i'm attempting to copy all of my music before I put it in storage.

Thanks

Yeah, im having this issue also. I have switched off itunes match, signed out of itunes store, gone back in and the CD is still not showing. The tracks are in the itunes music folder (held on an external drive attached to my airport extreme), and they show up in 'recent imports' playlist. They will also play from the recently added list. They just dont show up in the main library.

I am running OS 10.7.4 and all is updated. This is really frustrating.

I am also having this issue in iTunes 11. I don't have Match turned on. I am loading CD after CD. I can see the files in the Finder in the iTunes Media folder, and even tried using command-O to Add to Library, but no go. iTunes is just not recognizing them. Recently Added playlist doesn't see them, a smart playlist created with their album name doesn't see them, nothing.

This is how I solved the issue. I have iTunes 11.0.1 and it would import CDs, show them in the search but not actually be in the library.

Navigate to Applications folder and hold Option + Double Click on iTunes. A window will pop up asking you to Create a Library or to Choose Library. After clicking Choose Library navigate to Music>iTunes and hit Open. This was basically a refresh for my library and everything showed up.

Hope that helps. Also, fix your product Apple.
