why can't i update the latest software for my macbook pro Java os x 2012-003

For some reason i cannot get the latest update on my macbook pro, the software update is "Java OS X 2012-003". Why can't i do this. When i attempt, it says "The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs".

I do run Java, so i would really like this update. If any body knows what's going wrong please help me.

I did recently install a parallel program and installed Windows 7 64-bit, im not really sure if this matters but since the installations it's the first time i haven't been successful updating my software.

THIS IS THE FIRST BOX I GET BELOW

Software updates are available for your computer. Do you want to install them?

You can continue to use your computer during the installation.

You don't need to restart it when the installation is complete.

DETAILS BELOW

Basically the Software Update removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware. This update also configures the Java web plug-in to disable the automatic execution of Java applets. Users may re-enable automatic execution of Java applets using the Java Preferences application. If the Java web plug-in detects that no applets have been run for an extended period of time it will again disable Java applets. This update is recommended for all Mac users with Java Installed. Try manually downloading it from Apple Downloads and install it that way.

The most likely reason for that error is that your hard drive is corrupt and thus the download is not getting expanded properly. Restart the computer and hold down command-R as soon as you hear the chime, which will cause your computer to boot into recovery mode. Once there, open Disk Utility and repair the hard drive. If it succeeds, restart normally and try updating again. If it can't repair, you can try a utility like DiskWarrior, but if the damage is that bad the system may be damaged, so you should consider erasing the hard drive and reinstalling everything from scratch.
