Used iPhone 3GS - Shall I get a new battery?

Hi,

I've recently brought a second hand iPhone 3GS and I am wondering - Shall I get a new battery for it? I charged it last night to 100%, and its now at 20%.

I've (so far) managed to get;

Usage: 3 Hours, 12 Minutes

Standby: 10 Hours, 58 Minutes

Are those figures below what I should be getting from the battery (Do I need a new one)?

Edit: My iPhone 3GS is the 16GB model.

Thanks for your answers!

i would say yes,but having said that,its not straight forward in changing the battery for the iphone 3GS.

go onto youtube and type in "iphone 3GS battery replacement" and you will see why.

Thanks for the reply - I have already had both the front assembly off (to replace a smashed glass front) and the Logic board out of the phone to turn off the phone when it wasn't responding on boot (all works now though).

I realise Apple quote the battery life on the product page, but what would the Usage and Standby figures approximately show on a healthy battery?
