can i airplay my macbook pro to apple tv

if by screen you can view itunes content via airplay to the apple tv but if you are meaning everything unfortunatly this is not a feature of the apple tv or comptuer as of yet so your best bet is connect the comptuer right into your TV using the appropraite video cables

Mountain Lion will bring native mac mirroring, in the meantime you can try a 3rd party app like airparrot
