Use @me.com account instead of @gmail.com?

Okay I want to use my @me.com account in place of my @gmail.com but it wont let me remove my gmail account from my itunes account. Why? I don't want to use any other email service, I'll just use icloud's as my primary but it seems iTunes requires an alternative email which is really fcking stupid. Help?

I'm so confused and really getting ******. I don't want to sign in my itunes with a fcking gmail account, just the @me account..
