Download update problem

The latest update from APPLE is not working. It downloads the package, takes over 10 mins and then runs, after that it says it cannot install because it is corrupt. Any pointers.

Also on another note, maybe related, YouTube will not play videos on any mac in the house. (I mac and macbook).

Its through Software Update and its Java for OSX 2012-003... The download box also says its installing 4 items.

It has been doing this for a couple of weeks now so it has been shut down and restarted many times.

The only reason I am pursuing this now is videos have stopped playing and random images on various sites, news sites, stock photo sites etc do not load up, kind of look like truncated JPEGs. Half okay and half corrupt looking.

Just tried again and the message I am getting in its entirity is:

None of the selected updates could be installed.

The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.

Just checked again what the updates are and they are:

Java for OSX 2012-13 Version 1.0

Mac OSX 10.7.3 Supplemental Update 1.0

ITunes 10.6.1

Safari 5.1.5

I will try unchecking 1 at a time to see which one is causing the problems.
