Can i run Windows 64-bit on my Mac Mini 2009 (Core 2 Duo)?

Hello everyone,

just wanted to know if my Mac Mini (2009, Core 2 Duo, most of the apps run 64-bit) can install Windows 7 64-bit version via Boot Camp although it isn´t listed in Apple Supportlist: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1846?viewlocale=

I don´t wanna buy a 64-bit version and find out that it doesn´t run it.

Maybe someone has try it and can tell me about it.

Have a nice day 😉

Download the ISO and burn it (slowest speed) of Windows 8 CP 64-bit.

You will find out.

The Mac Mini seems to have more people postiing issues (you could have a sub-forum for Mac-Mini to form your own community and help each other too).

Sometimes it is a problem booting Windows DVD. It is never a problem getting around installing 64-bit drivers (or wasn't in the past with 10.6 Boot Camp 3.0.4).

Windows 8 64-bit consumer preview loads fine on the mac mini late 2009. However, after finally installing bootcamp 64 it locks constantly and is worthless. Windows 7 64bit was flawless. No solution thus far.

P.S. It was not freezing before I installed bootcamp. But I had no audio sound whatsoever. If anyone has an update besides install the 32-bit version then that would be great.
