I've just bought a new Intel mac mini to hook up to my LCD TV in the den to use as a second computer for the family. I'm looking for a wireless - prefereably bluetooth - keyboard to go with it. I've see the Apple Wireless keyboard, which looks nice but I'd still need a mouse as well. More stuff to clutter up the den with - or get lost!
I was wondering if anyone knows a compatible wireless keyboard that has a built-in trackpad. Sony make one that would be great, except it's only compatible with thier own VAIO systems. Is there anything similar on the market that would work with the mini?
This is a pretty cool idea. It's very much designed around home AV setups (has universal remote functionality as well), but uses 2.4GHz radio for communication (no bluetooth, but better range). The mouse is more of a scroll pad/joystick type thing, but it's the best I've seen yet. It's very light, and recharges in the base.
The only big downside is no Intel drivers yet, so much of the extra functionality doesn't work. However, Belkin claims they should have universal drivers out within 6 weeks.
I've never used this keyboard/trackpad, so I don't know how well (or not) it works. I just had seen it posted on a different forum. It is not bluetooth, it is RF.
I just bought the media pilot also to use with my new intel mac mini. same problem as you, i can't program any of the buttons! the preferences panel won't open. works as a regular keyboard just fine, however with the extras is it worth the money? Do you know if the Motion media keyboard I have heard about works any better?
Sony's wireless keyboard and mouse (VGP-WKB1) are fully compatible with my Mac Mini Core Duo. I was surprised to see the trackpad functions without the need of installating any driver.
