Unlike photo slideshows, the screensaver uses photographs stored on the Apple TV. The Apple TV has little storage and therefore the screensaver selection is limited to a selected number of photographs. There is no way to determine what these photographs are, other than to create smaller albums and choose them for the screensaver.

I consider it a bug and I'm sure anyone else that bought the AppleTV partly to use the photo screensaver would also consider it a bug. I have other mediaplayers that work fine, they don't store all the images or maybe they only store a few at a time and when they get to the end of the cache they que up the next bunch. I think the atv already refreshes some of the cue just need to flush 100% each time it roles through them.

I guess we need to wait until some Apple vip is in some meeting with a unit that's got it's screensaver running and some seriously embarassing picture pops up, then again, and again... then he'll call downstairs and say, hay we got a bug in the screensaver code :-o
