Question

How can I log in to the iCloud website from an iPhone?

When I try to log in to the iCloud website from an iPhone, I am brought to a page instructing me how to install iCloud on the device I'm using. I want to be able to log in to the iCloud website from an iPhone for two reasons: first, I want to be able to check things like contacts and calendar events from another person's iPhone when I don't have mine with me. Second, I want to be able to access iCal features that are not available on my iPhone but that are available through the iCloud website (and also on my Mac, but this is when I'm away from my computer or don't want to bother turning it on).

As suggested in another forum (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1290985 ), I have tried accessing iCloud through three different browsers: Atomic, Opera, Mercury. It doesn't work. I've submitted an enhancement request. Any workaround suggestions in the meantime?

You can't access iCloud.com from an iOS device. It simply isn't designed to be accessible in that way.

Even if you get access (via a different browser) the web pages themselves are not programmed to be usable on iOS devices, so you won't be able to do anything.

this is a great limit...

I need, as Saigon, to access to another iCloud account from my iPhone for many reasons.

I don't see technical limitations for not working,

maybe commercials one?!?

****!! I'm so glad I've found this post as I've been trying to work how to access iCloud via iPhone for the very same reason!! I don't want to start up my computer/ I'm not near it. Someone's sent me a list through "Reminders" and I wanted to look at something on their list but didn't want add it to my reminders lists. I'm also concerned that if I try and sync the list that's on iCloud, it will delete all my lists on my iPhone. Thanks for asking the query Saigon. You've saved me a lot of searching!!

I'm happy to say, just after my last post (above), I sync'd just the reminders (within "settings" under iCloud on my iPhone) and it's "merged" the reminders and brought up the list from iCloud without deleting the lists from the iPhone ... Within seconds. Hooray!!!! Been a bit hesitant in doing this as my iPhone Calendar and Mac Calendar have a very hard time at syncing. It drives me nuts. Can't save any new events I create from my iPjone to computer. Have to do everything on computer and THEN it will sync. I have MANY double ups too for some crazy reason and blank events. So I'm glad this worked without any bugs that I can see so far.

All of my contacts disappear from my phone and ipad ,I already checked in settings-- iCloud-- contacts are on but I don't know why contacts are not displaying ?

HI,

I came across your post. I know it is years old. I got mine to sort of work by going to the icloud site via safari where you see the app redirect. Tap into address field at top and drag down and choose Request Desktop Site. It won't size properly but I managed to do what I wanted. Maybe a good enough work around for you hopefully.

Hi, yes thanks for your suggestion - I didn't follow at first but scrolling down and clicking on the share button presents you with option to "Request Desktop Site'. The webpage is hard to navigate though. I got into Contacts to try and create a group, any ideas?
