I really want to know, because I spent a lot of money on my iPad 3, and the FaceTime camera strikes me as if it is un-Appleworthy. It seems to have red and yellow string-type things on the lens. Let me know if you want a picture to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Already!?! My day old iPad has to be replaced already??? That's not cool on Apple's part.
I guess you could try a Resart, Restart, or Restore. If neither of those troubleshooting steps helps, it may be a hardware issue.
