Can I get a replacement for my iMac Install Disk w/the Hardware Test?

I suspect a memory problem in my iMac (model iMac7,1).

When try to boot into the Apple Hardware Test by restarting and holding the D key the system boots normally, that is shows the user login prompt dialog.

I've also tryed Option-D.

Now I want to try booting from the Install Disks, but I cannot find the disks that came with the machine.

Is there any way to download a disk image or order a replacement disk?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

you can call AppleCare and see if they can send you the disks. They are $16 each.

Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then booting with it again, but it does have to be the one that shipped with your machine. For replacement discs, call the Apple Store. Usually available for nominal S&H. Requires the machine's serial number.

Wonder why Apple doesn't have downloadable images. Many hardware manufacturers provide copies of disks like this as downloads.

@balto: I do not understand how your answer addresses my situation.

Try those two steps and see if the machine boots with the AHT disc. You claimed you didn't have the original discs, so I pointed to where to get them. What part of that don't you understand?

Because the discs are tied to the serial number of the machine and are specific to the hardware of the machine. It's much more precise this way.
