Deleting certain data from time capsule

Hello all, I am almost at my perfect set up when using the 500 gb time capsule connected to a 2 tb harddrive ,it detects it and all is well, the only issue that I am having is that certain temp folder I had in the time capsule refuse to delete , I get a message saying that I dont have the access to delete them? The files that I put in the 500gb time capsule , have been backed up and i dont need them anymore, this has nothign to do with the timecapsule data, i am concerned with the sapce that its takign away from the time capsule process, what must I do , to delete those folders that dont allow me , please someone anser this wuestion thanks!!!!!! Also I tried accessing the root account and still was unable to delete it , please let me know thanks!!!!

If you don't need anything on the TC use the erase drive in airport utility. That is the quickest and easiest way to completely remove everything and start afresh.

I thought you had backed up the TC..


Permissions are tricky things.. because it depends under what Mac and user you created the folders in the first place.


The best way to handle things is via terminal and get super user access.

Just be very very careful because from root you can delete everything.
