ipad 2: how can you download attachments from emails and how to attach files to emails?

Cannot see some attachments in some emails and don't have options to download, Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how? The funny thing is that I can see some big files but not smaller ones?

Usually to download attachments you open them and then there should be a swoopy arrow on the upper right to 'send to' - send the attachment to an app that can handle it. It's possible if your attachment is in a format the iPad has no app to handle you can not see that arrow.

As to attaching things to e-mails, you go into the app the attachment lives in, say a photo, go into the photo app and 'send' the photo to be e-mailed. That'll then open your mail app and you can mail it.

THere is no file manager running everything so the only way to get files from app to app is to 'send' them to between apps.
