Anyway to add controller info after a part is recorded ?

This more for my knowelege base than anything , it might also help someone else sometime.

I've recorded a part using a Tenor Sax sound. I like it... but after listening to it a few times I'm thinking a Synth might sound better. I copied that Trk and changed the sound. It sounds good but I'd like to get a little freaker cause it's a syth sound.

When I'm sitting here I change the synth's sound by playing with the Pitch Bend & Modulation wheels. Is there a way to record/save "just" the controller info that you're adding to the trk and not jack up what you've done already ?

I could just do the trk again playing the synth this time. But I'd like to know away around that if you can...
