Never show scrollbars?

Hello!

Unlike a lot of people, I never used scroll bars, and OS X brought a welcome change in getting rid of them. However, when I plug in a mouse, it shows scrollbars, and I don't like that! Usually I just plug in my mouse to play a game, and any other time I'm using the track pad. Is there a way I can never show scrollbars, so I don't have to look at them? This is especially annoying in Terminal, which brings up this ugly white bar on my beautiful dark terminal.
