Mail can't connect to gmail server but was working earlier

Hi guys, everything has been fine until today. I tried to upload and send a photo from an app, but while attaching to a mail i decided to cancel it. Since then for some reason now my iphone is unable to update the mail app with my google mail. I tried deleting the account, restartng the phone, and entering all my details in again. but everytime i get the same error about cannot contact imap server or something.

Update. It says cannot connect using SSL

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
