I have been to 25-30 pages trying to find the link to download this tool!!! Why not put it up front so we can get to it??? Why hide it, and make it a hunting expedition ?? Do they think by not putting it up front they will avoid any more bad press about how this has been handled?

Mac MINI, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Information about the various updates is on the referenced security updates page, which has a link to the Apple Downloads.  You can also update via the regular System Preferences > Software Update.

The patch is offered through the standard means; through the  > Software Update path.

Your footer indicates v10.6.2; an older OS X version.

The local OS X version or OS X Server version needs to be either v10.6.8 or v10.7.3 to allow the Java patch to be offered via Software Update.    If you should choose to load what is offered by Software Update, then you'll load security updates and various other fixes, and the v10.6.8 upgrade involved in that sequence will then cause the Java patch to be offered.

The sequence is slightly different on v10.7.3, as the Java update will only be offered if Java is installed.  Java is optional on v10.7, and various OS X systems will not have that tool installed.
