Update won't install

Why I try to install this update, i get this message about halfway through the download:

The update “Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8” can’t be installed.

The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading.

The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.

Please help
