Mail server not responding?

Hello. My mail server is currently "not responding" and I can't get my mail. I entered the hotmail website and I saw new mail messages so I don't think hotmail is the problem. I deleted the account from settings and put it up again but it's still not working. My other emails like my yahoo and my gmail are working and I do get new emails for those. Any idea what's the problem or how I can fix it? Thanks. :)

The solution is the delete one by one all the e-mails you received on the day your device stopped receiving email using another mail client like Outlook (or whatever you prefer to use). Then empty your Recycle Bin after each deletion. You can't download mail because one of the e-mails you received on that day is corrupt and holding up the rest in the queue.

Wiping and setting up again won't fix the problem as the corrupt e-mail is stored in your server mailbox before it downloads to your device so it won't be able to download it again after you've setup your server connection if it had problems the first time.

Look at the comments in my post - Apple wasn't able to figure this one out:
