is there a way to apply the slide transitions to every slide?
Is there any way I can set all my slides to play a random transition instead of having to add a transition to each individual slide?

As far as I know (and I use Keynote for several years now and quite often), there is no way to assign random transitions to several slides with one action.
What you can do though, is to assign the same transition to more than one slides. All you need is mark the slides you want and assign to them your preferred transition.
