I have set up icloud on my pc, but my photos aren't downloading from my iphone 4s photostream to the computer.  What am I doing wrong?  I want to delete the photos from my camera roll to free up space on my phone, but am scared to until they have been downloaded to my pc.

Do you have photo stream turned on, on your iPhone?  (Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream)

Also, when you sign on the iCloud control panel from your pc, is photo stream checked?

  • rcockett Level 1 Level 1

Yes both are on......have ended up saving picturesanually to pc so I could free up space..frustrating...don't know why it's not working

  • rcockett Level 1 Level 1

    Woops....that was saving pictures manually

Hmmm, are the picture you take actually making into your photo stream album on your phone (under photos)?

I know pictures are only uploaded to your photo stream when your connected to wifi and you have a connection to the Internet through it.  You don't happen to have your wifi turned off on your phone do you?

Yes pictures are all showing in photo stream ony phone and wifi is always on. It's a mystery!

Log out of iCloud on your computer then log back in, re-check phot stream and everythign will transfer over.

I've had my iPhone 4S since it came out. Photo Stream was working great up until May 7th. It stopped syncing from my phone to PC. I've tried everything under the sun to remedy this but to no avail. Glad I'm not the only one having issues. Hopefully there is a solution soon. I really miss having the easy access of my photos on my PC.

    This worked for me thanks.

I am having the same issues.  Logged in and out of iCloud and it made no difference.  My photos are not downloaded at all.

Livinlife,  log out of the iCloud web site.  Then go to the control panel on your computer.  Select network connections

And go to iCloud.  Log out of it.  Then go log back into the web site and then go back to iCloud in

Your network connections.  I would even turn your phone off and charge it while you are doing this.

Lastly turn your phone back on and check your photo stream and your PC

I hope this does the trick.  ?  I always say more is better than less.

You can view and move photos in your DCIM folder from your pc as always. Photos that you put on your iPhone by syncing with iTunes can only be removed by "un"syncing them and they're already on your pc so there's no need to view them through your iPhone.

Besides what mentioned above, i like to share you a article about How to transfer or copy photostream from iPhone 4s to PC, which included transferring iPhone picture files to computer.

Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me!

I was having the exact same problem; photos not being transferred from photostream to my PC. I have now fixed this problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the icloud control panel. Hope this helps.

Logging out of icloud worked for me.
