Can I use Logic Pro (Amp Designer) to simulate just guitar power amp and cabinet?
Setup would be: My ENGL E530 guitar preamp -> Macbook Pro, power amp and cabinet simulation -> Active speaker or headphone monitoring. I don't want that Logic Pro emulates guitar preamp in this arrangement.
You can dial in a clean amp ("Transparent Preamp") and select a cabinet. There's no separate power amp section.
This way, your signal runs straight into the cabinet. If you need some sort of saturation, you might add a compressor with some output distortion (available if you click the disclosure triangle at the lower left corner of the plug-in UI).
