Q: Problems after battery changing

everytime I change the batteries in my trackpad, I have to intermittently hit system preferences to get it to recognize the trackpad. Any suggestions? And yes, the batteries are in the right way.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011)

Hello:

If that only happens after you change batteries, I would say that is normal. You might make the device a favorite - that may help.

When it is battery change time for the trackpad or mouse, I have to restart my iMac to get them to connect again.

It is a really awesome feature !
