update an older ipad that has not been updated
How do I update my Ipad. It's a 3G and I have never updated it. It's 3 yrs old.

Plug it in to iTunes via a USB cable. Select your iPad on the list on the left and click on the "Summary" tab at the top. The second box down allows you to check for software updates.

Make sure you back it up before updating.
