Java update problem
The Java update cannot be expanded after download. The message is that it may be corrupted. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Yes; that error has been reported before. No clear resolution has been mentioned in the previous reports, nor have I seen that case arise here. As a possible repair (and that's been suggested in some of the other threads), try booting from the repair partition, and rebuilding your volume and resetting your protections.
