Q: iPod Video/5th Gen, help! [sad face/low battery]

Did you ever get any help?  I am having the same problem.

If none of the suggestions in the Apple support document below help you can be assured that's is an issue with your iPod's hard drive. This means you'll likely need to have the iPod serviced or replaced either by Apple or a third party repair company.

The low battery message could also indicate a dead or dying battery.
