Apple claims normal service has been restored to the less than 1% -    My service has not been restored!!!!! Still no emails:-(

I just checked - before and after your post - the status page does not say it is restored.  Still the same message from 7 this morning (PST) saying it will be restored ASAP.

Hree in UK - all mail service dropped out yesterday afternoon - soooooo frusrating!!!!  - this is my work address and as I'm freelance I rely on the Apple email and it's stability - I've never heard this happening with any other email provider.

Need this sorted out asap - it's wholly unacceptable

As I work in media I'll be able to push this as a news story - I'm appalled by Apple's silence and lack of customer care  - it completely stinks!!!

Please actually do something. This is absurd and the media should value this story.

    James from NYC here.

This is insane.  The fact that Apple doesn't post an updated status since 10am east-coast time... It's unprofessional.  I work for a non-profit in an office with 11 other people and if I didn't update folks on the tasks I'm trudging through, I'd get yelled it!  If it weren't for this forum, I'd freak out entirely that I was the only one facing this tremendous problem.

And look, I'm not hooked to my computer 24 hours a day but the fact is everything professional, personal, bank accounts... it all goes to my email address.  I don't get anything snail-mail.  The fact that they haven't updated the status raises serious questions about their integrity and ability to function in a professional manner.

What is even more concerning is that after a 50 minute phone call, not one person (tech support, senior advisor, program leader, nor engineering department) had known that this was a pervasive issue. Not one. My account has been passed to the engineering department and I should hear back by tomorrow. Great...3 days with no email. Bleh.

I'm in the mid-west of the US and I have not had email since yesterday around 7pm (central time). I am completely infuriated at this point, all of my work and personal correspondence is routed through my icloud account and not being able to access it has made this day worthless, productivity-wise. It is especially frustrating considering I am PAYING for an email account that I could use through Google or some other service free.

I called the help-desk and all they could tell me is that they are aware of it and working on it. They did not give me a timeline for when they expect it to be fixed.

Not working for me in europe.  had months of password recognition issues in mail after icloud came in.  now this.  I just want to send a couple of mails.  Come on Steve, do something!

I resent the fact that my post was edited by the host.  I think that making Tim cook aware of the problem by sending him an email is a productive step and might actually get the situation resolved.  He probably has no idea that so many of us are without email access for two days.

The silence on the Status Report is partciularly annoying. So I edited the page...

Same situation in Denmark, I'm afraid! Quite unbearable, and really strange that this problem doesn't get solved.

Portland, Oregon.  Down as well.  Three calls into support, and each time no news at all.  Total crap.  No ETA that they know of as to service restoration.

Same here.  Out since yesterday. Called this morning and got a report sent to Engineering.  Have heard nothing since 8:30 am central time.  No one seemed to know there was an issue.  I think a little more information would be in order.

Have been without e-mail for the past 24 hours as well. What is most frustrating is that Apple doesn't seem to acknowlege there is a problem— which should be the first step toward a remedy. Is there any other way to contact them and make them aware that this is an issue?
