Close your iTunes,

Go to command Prompt -

(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".

(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt

In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in

netsh winsock reset

Hit "ENTER" key

Restart your computer.

If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.

Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

This is part of the message that i received when i have typed in the command prompt.

/setclassid modifies the dhcp class id.

The default is to display only the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP.

For Release and Renew, if no adapter name is specified, the IP address release for all adapters bound to TCP/IP will be released or renewed.

For Setclassid, if no Classid is sp;ecified then the class id is removed

it gives examples etc

Tried it but still nothing.

''Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache''

message received. is that correct or am I doing something wrong. it is very frustrating, my connection to the Internet is fine on everything else. I even contacted my broadband provider just to check that there was nothing blocking it, but they couldn't find anything.
