I am wondering what cost is worth, if ipad battery can be replaced in ipad 3 ?
I think battery will swells out like in other products like macbook/air/pro ?
MacBook (13-inch Early 2008), Mac OS X (10.5.8), 1 Gb RAM , Combo drive, 120 GB hard
The battery can be replaced - in the US it's $99 plus $6.95 shipping.

The percentage of batteries that fail in this manner is extremely small. The chances of it happening to you are the same, extremely small.
Are you taking about ipad 1.
What about ipad 3 or 2.
I talked to apple reseller, he had no idea what to do after ipad 2 battery expires. That think hold me back for buying ipad 2. He told that apple hasn't told about any replacement of ipad or battery.
I want to buy ipad 3 now.
Please specify whether the word "ipad" stands for all generation of ipad in replacement section.
I would assume it does. Apple replaces batteries for both earlier iPads, why would they not for the iPad3?
Why the obsession with this?... the chances of you getting a defective battery are extremely small. Plus, you're more likely to sell the iPad before the battery goes bad than use it until it goes bad.

As the site doesn't say that it excludes a particular model then it should include it. The battery should still get 80% of its capacity after 1000 charges, which should take you a while to reach.

Of course there's a chance, just as there's a chance you'll be struck by lightning, both of which are extremely small.
Will Apple just replace your battery if you don't want a refurbished ipad? I've taken excellent care of mine, and I would just as soon have it back.
