keyboard keeps typing, fffffffffffffffffffff. WTffffffffff

Ok. first of all everytime I unplug my USB external keyboard then plug it back in, it does the malfunction where it keeps typing the letter f. what is going on, and how can i fix this? fyi, the f key doesn't work when pressed either, and The keyboard on the actual macbook works fine.

Mac OS X (10.5)

Uh, the f-key on the keyboard is broken and needs replacing?

If this is an older keyboard with detachable covers, make sure it is seated correctly.

that stil doesnt explain why it malfunctions when i plug it in.

If the key is stuck down it will activate f when you plug it in.

i should have said this too. when that happens, i press delete. and it stops.
