What are "Genius apps"? It's not clear what you're talking about.

Are you refering to the apps that the Apple Genius feature shows to you? Apps that it thinks you may be interested in?
Yeah. The app recommendations made by the app store. Should of been a bit more clear in the original post.
Thats okay. Have you tied to turn off then turn you iDevice back on? Does that fix the problem?
I have tried rebooting my phone, turning genius off then on, relogging in. Nothing seems to keep the apps i remove from the list perm.
Contacted apple but all they did was tell me what genius is and does...
How about trying to remove the apps from within iTunes on your computer?

I've enabled Genius in itunes on my computer, but as far as I see theres no genius for apps available on itunes on a computer, only for music?
I have also tried this on my mothers phone and it does the exact same thing.
Glad i am not the only one. Make me feel better its not me but apple has a flaw in there program...
Try going to iTunes and uninstalling the app from there then re-syncing your iDevice.
Sorry, but Genius isn't an app but part of appstore functionality on mobile devices only.

Genius might not be an App but you can still try to remove the Apps that you install from it in iTunes then sync with your iDevice.
That would be true if we were trying to remove apps. But we are not.
If you go into the app store app on your phone ipod or ipad. Hit "Featured" then at the top hit genius. From there if you swip like it says to "remove a app from the list". It does but when you leave or open a app in the list then go back to continue to see what it "recommends" the apps that you "swipped to remove" are back on the list.
This is what i am talking about and i am sure the other guy as well. It also does the same thing on my mothers phone.
Alright i just went in and teated it again and it looks like they fixed it as now it is working. Or maybe its still something else and its a coincidence that it is working.
