how do I delete microsoft database daemon from the start up items?

Not sure what daemon you are referring to but look in the following places:

your login items

~/Library/LaunchAgents (in your home directory)

/Library/LaunchAgents

/Library/LaunchDaemons

/Library/StartupItems

I usually start like this:

If you got this error message after updating MS Office - which I just did - I ended up just restarting my iMac and MS took care of the problem.
