Adding .dll format to Mplayer..... Help!

Hello!

I know there have been other forms about this because I have been searching for the last three days. BUT, I am still yet to find out exactly how to get this problem solved. Ill try to keep this short and simple.

Im working on a mac. I recenly recived footage in the codec CUVC. From what I understand the only way to play this footage on a mac is to use Mplayer and install csehqa.dll and cseuvec.dll. What I dont understand is HOW to install these .dlls on a mac. Can someone please help me figure this out? Im working for a news paper and they want this footage!

Thank you!

Sam,

I will not be able to help you all the way through because that involves confirming that I can play your video (which I clearly do not have). That said... the process of installing the code pack should not be too hard.

1) go to the mplayer download site:

2) scroll down to the header "Binary Codec Packages"

3) click the http link associated with your computer

4) wait for the download to complete

5) go to the folder where the downloaded file is and double click the file

Mine was downloaded to /Users/<user name>/Downloads

User uploaded file

6) Double click the installer file ("Essential Codecs Package.....pkg") and follow the installer directions

I hope this helps
