i am trying to understand how to fully use my keyboard and it came with no additional instructilons. I have conneced to bluetooth no problems with that I just want to know what the other functions mean. thank you Mary Magallnez

Several of the F1 through F12 keys (also called function keys) work with the iPad: for example, F1 and F2 turn the brightness up and down, as the icons of the keys indicate. Similarly, F7 through F12 affect the playback and volume of audio or video.
The rest are for use only when the keyboard is paired with a Mac OS X-based computer.

Not knowing what keyboard you bought, have you considered googling the make and model and you'll likely find loads of information on it, including what the function keys do.
What does f1 thru f12 mean. When I purchased my keyboard it did not come with any additional instructions where do I get further instructions to help me understand what each function means. Sincerely Mary Magallanez
