how do i get my camera back i think i deleted it from my computer

As you know, software operates all your Mac's functions, including its camera. There is no safe way a user can delete the camera, which is a hardware device, so I expect that yours is a software question.

As I understand your problem, you have added some kind of third-party "applications menu" which you can no longer find. Therefore, you cannot launch an app that offers the camera functions you want in order to use your Mac's camera.

If you do not think you have added a third-party "applications menu," perhaps you mean that your Mac's "Dock" has disappeared from your desktop. If this is the case, you can restore the Dock's visibility by using your your  > System Preferences... > Dock menu command to configure your Dock preferences to your liking.

In your Mac OS X (10.6.8) Mac, even without an "applications menu," you should be able to use the Finder > Go > Applications menu command to open the Applications folder. Then double-click one of the apps that can use your camera from there. You can use an app like Photo Booth, iMovie, iChat, etc., to verify that your camera still works.

If you have deleted the actual software apps that operate your camera, the easiest fix is to restore the apps from a Time Machine (or other) backup that was made before your problem began.

If you do not have a backup of your system when it was working, follow the instructions starting on page 56 of the User Guide manual that came with your MacBook to repair your disk or, if necessary, reinstall your Mac's software apps.

To reinstall third-party software, follow the instructions that the developer provided with the disk or documentation.
