Recently bought appletv in Switzerland and found no Movies available in English! Even in the "Movies in English" section, they are all in French!! HOw can this be resolved?

Think there are two problems:

1. iTunes Store in Switzerland appears in general to not show english speaking Movies - I have seen even Swiss people screaming in forums about this!! @ AppleTVSupport - you need to resolve this quickly or risk losing your strong Swiss customer base for AppleTV

2. There is a bug with AppleTV, as in teh specific "English Speakiong movies" section, they are all in French

Unfortunately, i think the only way to get round it is to create an iTunes account in the US or UK (US is the cheaper option).....really sad that Apple can't get this very simple thing working.

its exactly the same in the iTunes store....."MOvies in English" or "Movies in original Language" are actually all in French!!! Somoene has commented against one of the movies to say...."I really hope some genius at iTunes or Applecan fix this problem with language......"

Very frustrating.

On the point about an iTunes account in the US, I have friends here in Switzerland who do not have cc registered in the US, but have managed to get US iTunes accounts.....I'll ask them how they did it.

Thanks for the response though!

I understood iTunes to be an Apple service?! It was certainly introduced by them. If the movies in their original language section shows only movies in french (even if the original language is english)....then surely this is an Apple / iTunes issue.

I know at least 6 people here in Switzerland who do not have US credit cards but have openned US iTunes accounts. I will ask them how.

Yes, but if the movies offered in the store are french that is due to licensing and the issue is with the movie studios.

There is a difference between simply opening an account and purchasing content through another store, the latter requires a CC for that location. If you are looking into unofficial methods surely it can't be discussed here
