    I had the same problem except I was bying music and it wouldn't save my questions!  APPLE IS NOT LETTING ME USE MY ITUNES CARD TO BUY MUSIC FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!x10

    Same situation here received an email yesterday advising that certain information had been changed and was then asked on logging in who my favourite teacher was and my least favourite teacher, two questions that I had never previously provided answers too. Also as you mentioned the prefielded email address is not one that I recognise.


    It is a bit more than a coincidence that this problem has arisen for us all in the past 48 hrs something has been messed up at Apple I fear and so far Aple have not been able to offer me an explanation or a solution.

    Well actually my case is a little different. I know you guys are probably all going to facepalm or something, but here it is.


    I was downloading new apps for my itouch when it asked my security questions. i exited it out at first, but it didn't download the app. so i tried again, got the same security questions. So i figured it was mandatory. I answered three of them, and i don't remember EXACTLY what i put, like i don't remember the case sensitivity or the word ordering, but i know the gist of what i put. Like the names, for least favorite teacher and what not. I've tried many combonations and nothing has been working. I figured that resetting the security questions would be the easiest choice, but obviously i can't do that.

    This is unbelievably stupid, from what has been mostly a brilliant company. I can't use what I paid for, I can't purchase more, I get madder every time I try. Arrrggghhh

    This is starting to sound like Apple may have been comprimised, especially since they have no status area for there various cloud apps....iTunes in particular and yet they stay quite, potentially to cover up the fact that they had a security breach.

    Same situation but just got the notice today.  Got emai that my security questions and awnsers have changed.  Go into my Apple ID account and you can't change them.  Have to awnser: What was my first car? and Which car was my favorite?  Really????  Am I being PUNKED.  Ashton Kutcher come out and suprise me already.....

    Recieved the same email today so changed password ,answers Im giving to questions are correct but telling me they wrong very frustrating !!

    I did not have, to the best of my, knowledge any security questions until last night when I tried to buy an app I got a message to create some. I did not write them down because the message stated I would be able to confirm them from an email. I got an Email this morning saying that I could view the at a given link. Whe I tried to do so the questions seemed slightly different that I remembered. What was your favorite job became where was you favorite job. The answers were required to let me see the questions.

    I know very like about Mac (pc user) but have recently started using an iPhone and iPad. I am a very frustrated at the moment because most of the avalable help seems to be circular in nature or require a lot of previous knowledge.

    Other than a bullitt can anybody help with simple speek.


    I can still log with same ID  and do not wish to change this because I do no t know what's happening with the security questions

    I am on the phone with AppleCare on this issue.  They had to reset everything, but now we are okay.

    Race 501 Rang Apple . Is a pay service? I am in Australia do I have to ring Apple in USA? I am real new at this Apple stuff and find the help systems very confusing.


    Has the problem been fixed for everybody or just racer.? Do we all have to ring Apple? Do Apple monitor these communities?


    Any info appreciated OLD NEWBIE

    I was told to go to iTunes, by a VERY unhelpful Chat Advisor. I normally love my Apple support people, but this one was terrible and insisted that I should be able to see the same things she was seeing on her screen. I CAN'T. I CAN'T CHANGE MY QUESTIONS. I. AM. NOT. STUPID.

    I have the same problem - I received an email saying my security questions had changed (I never touched them), click to change your password if this wasn't you - so I changed the password.  However, I cannot change the security questions without answering the existing questions - which were changed without my knowledge - How can I change them?


    So, if my security questions were reset by someone, they now have access to my account and I can do zip all about it.  Thanks Apple.


    I spent an hour calling Apple - this is the advise I was given;


    Log into, choose your country, select itunes, itunes store, account management, itunes account security, add the details of the device (any I think will do) and leave details / email for assistance.


    I guess you then wait for up to 24 hours when your account could be updated by  whoever changed your security questions.
