Yep, happened to me today too.  Are our accounts safe?  Why is apple not responding or sending out warnings?  Very poor support.

Add me to the list.   Daughter downloaded app on ipad, asked her for questions...she can not remember what she put in (8 yrs old).   Can not find any way to reset or change.   Let me know what you find out.    Pain in A-- security question.   Hard enough trying to remember passwords, account names, etc (yes getting old)

Frankly, I'm surprised that this is still an issue. Apple should have better support..

It's probable that Apple has been hacked and is trying to avoid a media s4!tstorm.  They're so paranoid about the effect this stuff has on stock prices.  And I for one want Apple's stock to stay high as much as the next guy but I also want my consumer electronics to work and be worry free!

It's bad enough that it takes forever to figure out how to manage iTunes and a few iPods.  Meanwhile my Android hardware is getting easier and easier to use.

Anyway Apple!!! Please fix this security question screw up asap!!!

DITTO HERE - I can't change anything without knowing those security answers and that's what's been changed! All going to that xxxx@yahoo.com address that I never created. I can't verify anything.

Crap Apple Support.  No problem, i'll just stop buying apps.

I opted out of the security questions. The reason is that many people know the answers to all of the questions available.

You can't opt out...That's the problem.  Apple signs you up and you can't opt out unless you can answer them first.  the problem is you can't answer them because you haven't set them yet.  They are set to some kind of default answer or random answer and you can't change them until you can reset them and you can't reset them.

This is the dilemma.  Apple implemented some kind of new security feature but did it all wrong and it's broken.  Either that or Apple has been hacked and they're not telling us.  In any case it's still broken.

I have solved the original problem with the security question and now know my answers. THE PLOT however now thickens.

When I try to make a purchase I do not get the questions but get asked question about payment options. Paranoid rule number one I never give credit card details on line, but pick the none option because I use an apple card. This option is not accepted. This means I can not use the credit still on my account.

What happens to my balance, does that merely become a donation to APPLE.

I would have expected that Apple would be monitoring the forums as part of their market research. If so can you please make at least a comment so us mere customers know you are aware of our frustration.

Well, here I am in Australia, Sunday night. I too am stuck with same problem after receiving email about Security Question. I've changed my password but can't change Security Question. Also had prob purchasing App but thats ok now. Spent most of the day trying to resolve this. I guess this day and age we just get used to being hacked, skimmed and scammed. Hopefully Apple will fix this prob soon.

Does anyone at Apple know about this problem, are they monitoring this site or are they just sitting back and laughing at our predicament. Come on Apple speak to us and fix the problem.
