May 3, 2012 12:03 AM in response to Jonnysolarby vunguyenpto,I just received an email from apple saying I had updated my security questions and answers on 05/03/2012. I haven't changed anything in my itunes account lately and this email scares the heck out of me. Is someone trying to hack into my account? I just changed my password, but that doesn't do any good because it could be reset by answering the security questions. I can't change and can't answer these questions simply because I didn't set them up.

May 3, 2012 2:42 PM in response to AppDGby roelvanderkamp,It seems like Apple is seriously trying to scare me off as a customer. They give me terrible customer support continuously in the past few months (mainly at its flagship Regent Street store). And now they force me to answer these ridiculous questions (most of which don't have an actual answer, who has a car in London?), giving easy access to anyone who knows me. Why an't I skip this step? I just want to et a new app. Please Apple get off my back and start to at least try to be nice! Why would I ever by any Apple products in the future?

May 8, 2012 1:50 PM in response to BigPhilipKby troyd5676,How about using "applesucks" for the answer to any 3 random qusetions?
It probably will not change anything at Apple, but it might make you feel better.

May 8, 2012 2:27 PM in response to Selfbuilder3000by troyd5676,Don't do it! I bought mine in December. I was very happy with it until this.
I just sent feedback to http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html and asked how I can get my money back!

May 8, 2012 2:33 PM in response to Dave The Wave 0by troyd5676,You're wrong, Dave. They specifically tell you to choose a question and answer that "you can easily remember", but others will not know.

May 8, 2012 5:31 PM in response to troyd5676by Fred Davenport,What a "Gong Show" this has become. Apple has definitely ticked off many of us who have been so loyal for many, many years.
This is the stupidest thing Apple has ever done and I am sure the "potential" revenues are very down.
Hope all keep posting their displeasure with this stupid, silly, annoying and time consuming process.

May 9, 2012 12:54 AM in response to AppDGby Dave The Wave 0,This is just good security. It protects your credit card. The questions are not supposed to make sense and neither are the answers. It is designed so that you cannot be hacked. Write the questions and answers down, store them someplace, and sleep good at night knowing your doors are locked and the alarm is on.
Just roll with it for your own protection.

May 9, 2012 3:26 AM in response to Dave The Wave 0by troyd5676,Apple does not have my credit card number. Why would you give them that? Talk about bad security.
I sleep fine at night because I protected myself... without this new dumb idea they rolled out.
Why 3 security questions anyway? One is more than enough.

They ask 2 of 3 questions to enable certain things it seems.
I don't mind extra security just hate this implementation.

May 9, 2012 4:20 AM in response to AppDGby Dave The Wave 0,In my personal case Apple does have my Credit Card number. It is how I pay for iTunes on the four phones on my familly account.
One question is never good enough for good security.
My sense is that many of you are very unhappy for the wrong reasons.
Just answer the questions and move on with your lives.
This is too petty to get so upset over.

May 9, 2012 4:31 AM in response to Dave The Wave 0by troyd5676,One question not enough? That's funny, it's enough for my on-line accounts with my bank, my mortgage company, utilities, credit card companies, retirement accounts, etc, etc.
I have never heard of anyone asking for three security questions and a second back-up email address. .
But I guess i am barking up the wrong tree with you... it is obvious that Apple can do no wrong in your eyes. I just hope they're paying you or something.

May 9, 2012 7:57 AM in response to Dave The Wave 0by BigPhilipK,To those who say "roll with it" or "this is too petty to get so upset over", please go back to school and learn how to read.
The problem for most of us over 40 is this.
WE CAN"T ANSWER THE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Therefore, if we give answers that are guesses,
WE WOULDN"T REMEMBER THEM WHEN NEEDED IN THE FUTURE
and
WE MAY LOSE ACCESS TO OUR ACCOUNTS.
Losing access to your account may be petty to you, it isn't petty to me!

May 9, 2012 8:40 AM in response to Dave The Wave 0by troyd5676,Let me ask this, Dave... how many security question does your credit card's company's web site require?
I know the answer is either one, or zero.
Thanks for playing.

May 11, 2012 1:49 AM in response to AppDGby ChopStiR,Your complaints here in the community are not heard by Apple staff! To get a resolution we all want we all need to make our complaints via feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
I had made a complaint to the staff desk and this is what they told me we needed to do!
Again, Your complaints here in the community are not heard by Apple staff and nothing will get fixed unless you hit them up in the feedback.
